Current PhD Students

	Rina Davila Severiano Rina is a PhD candidate in the Industrial Engineering program. Her research investigates the economics of electric long haul freight operations (Preprint 1), and whether fully electrified supply chains can provide long duration demand flexibility. (NAPS24, Preprint2).
	Xiangxin An (Co-advised with Santanu Dey) Xiangxin is a PhD student in the Industrial Engineering program. Her research focuses on convex relaxations for AC power flow problems, with the goal of finding optimal decisions in power systems (NAPS'25).
	Yiru Ji Yiru is a PhD student in the Industrial Engineering program. Her research focuses on control of GPU-heavy data centers, with the objective of providing grid flexibility(HICSS27). She also worked with me during her Masters, where she investigated the role of battery swapping in heavy goods freight electrification(NAPS25).
	Catherine Wang Catherine is a PhD student in the Industrial Engineering program. Her research focuses on flexibility from heat pumps during extreme weather events (NAPS26). She is also currently working with the Georgia Public Service Commission investigating the potential of electrified school buses for energy arbitrage.

Caleb Ju Caleb collaborated with me during his PhD (supervised by George Lan). He investigated the potential of reinforcement learning for control of grid connected energy storage (HICSS25). He is now an Assistant Professor at the University of Tennessee Knoxville, check out his personal website here.
